Free Space Planning Offer For New Office Occupiers
For business people who find organising an open plan office a bit daunting, help is at hand at M11 Business Link, where developers Frogmore are offering new occupiers a free space planning and design service.
"An open plan office offers great flexibility" says Mike Sumpster of Barker Storey Matthews – joint agents on the scheme; "but most would rather leave the details to an architect or interior designer – which is why our clients have brought in Citygreen, space planning consultants, to offer a free service to our clients".
New occupiers will be able to discuss their essential working requirements and methods with Citygreen, who will then draft a sketch plan with recommendations for partitioning and furnishing offices, workstations and break-out areas.
The service is an added bonus for M11 Business Link occupiers, who already benefit financially from the developers’ ‘Freezehold’ scheme, which allows them to lease a unit and buy it later at the original, pre-agreed price.
The Office Park at M11 Business Link comprises twelve semi-detached, office units (of which eight remain to buy or let) in an attractive landscaped setting. The development is highly visible from the M11 and has easy access to Junction 8, Stansted Airport and Bishop's Stortford.
‘FREEZEHOLD’ to End Finance Famine at Stansted Business Show
‘Freezehold’, an enterprising approach to property purchase in a time of finance famine, will find plenty of takers at the Stansted Business Show, to be held at the Hilton Hotel, Stansted Airport on April 8th 2011.
As well as taking advantage of the business-to-business networking opportunities afforded by this unique event, visitors will be introduced to a scheme that gives them the opportunity to invest in new business premises without waiting on banks or other lenders for funding.
The Freezehold scheme will be showcased by property developers Frogmore at Stand X, where delegates will also have the chance to win a magnum of Champagne by playing the Freezehold Buzzer Game.
Essentially, the Freezehold scheme allows prospective purchasers to lease a new property at a modest rent with the option of purchasing it later at a pre-agreed price, when funds become available. The scheme is unique to Frogmore, who guarantee that the price remains frozen – hence the name – whatever happens to property values in the meantime.
The Freezehold scheme has proved so successful that it has been introduced as standard practice at a number of Frogmore business parks throughout the UK. These include M11 Business Link, Stansted, Crossways, Dartford, and Edward Court, Altringham.
Security Firm Takes Keys to Three Units at M11 Business Link
The powerful attraction of M11 Business Link, Stansted, as a strategic centre for businesses with a national marketplace has been demonstrated once again this week with the take up of three more units by Commend UK.
The company, which specialises in security and communication systems, has leased a 3,190 sq ft warehouse and two modern office units totalling 5,186 sq ft on the park.
Commenting on the move, Managing Director Brian Richardson says: “The first consideration for us was to bring together our sales and manufacturing arms – previously at Thaxted and Harlow – on the same site, which at M11 Business Link, a mixed use commercial development, worked really well.
“Another factor was that as a high tech company – amongst other things we manufacture intercom controls for NCR and the London Underground – the fibre optics infrastructure was up to speed, and the high specification of the buildings themselves made them impressive show places for visiting clients”.
The proximity of Stansted Airport and the national motorway network has proved a winning combination for businesses relocating to M11 Business Link, and Commend UK, as a national company, are no exception.
